Morris Johnson

the current addiction. yes, addiction. too bad she's not high on the list of artistes that i would die to go for their live performance; she just finished her live concert in KL just couple of hours ago. would be very VERY tempted to go, had i known about it earlier instead of a day before the event.

i'm praying that Coldplay would come to Singapore, or better still, KL. that, i would do anything to go. @noden: i don't know, to me it's very similar to the previous album. i still love both of them, newplay or oldplay. put it like this: changing and evolving from the earlier albums is what Coldplay is all about... okay maybe not all it's about. but part of its appeal, i would say.

back to zee avi. i first heard this song on the radio while driving somewhere (kalau tak, mana lagi nak dengar lagu pun?). and my mind thought of Feist; their voices are distinct to each other, but the type of songs... *melts.

but it wasn't until a few weeks after that i found out about the title of the song, which was 3 days ago. haih, jatuh cinta~

@alia: do you play ukulele? orang tunggu je dia ajak ke lanai (i can't really go there by myself, can i?) next time pegi, we eat while you play ukulele, can? haha

btw when i stumbled upon this song's Vevo, i don't know why, but i thought of 8TV Quickie. and when i thought of that, i wondered... just why on earth are their female hostesses all very pretty and pretty??? (last night was the first time my eyes were set upon this organically beautiful specimen called Megan)

but again, back to the song. i think the best part of it is the lyrics. i mean, how more meaningful can a song lyrics, that is as simple as this one, be?

The turtle moves slowly and is happy with his pace of life
The flamingo walks with elegant grace -- she knows she's one of a kind

If you can't stop, at least smile as you go by
If you can't stop, at least smile as you go by
Sometimes, you just gotta know how to feel

The happy crab danced on the beach to a calypso beat
The happy marlin jumps for the pure joy of being alive

If you can't stop, at least smile as you go by
If you can't stop, at least smile as you go by
Sometimes, you just gotta know how to feel

The gator grinned as he dreamed of his next meal
Every good fisherman has a pelican watching over him

If you can't stop, at least smile as you go by
If you can't stop, at least smile as you go by
Sometimes, you just gotta know how to feel

this is the main reason why i fell in love with the song actually. the line "the gator grinned as he dreamed of his next meal" is very... beautiful, i thought.

the video can be abit weird to some. so what i would suggest is, just shut your eyes, and 'feel' the words. and hum and dance to the melody. it's just that awesome.
