yeah, a few days after raya baru nak share kan. too late kot, as we already got back from Johor. but i remember i always adhered to the speed limit, so that's fine. but that's not the point.
the point is, i was having doubts about this claim. you know, like some of us (because not all subscribed to this sort of thinking) do when it comes to "must share this! must tell ALL!" thingy. i mean, how true can this be? not to mention, panjang nak mampus list tu, malas nak baca kot.
however, last weekend, i was on my way down south to Rembau to attend a friend's wedding, and i remembered about this post. so i was thinking, hmm maybe i can check just how accurate their claims can be. i mean, i was thinking, the list was so long, it's like they're listing all the bridges along the highway. seems plausible, no?
so, after the Sungai Besi toll, i checked one bridge or junction, i can't remember. none. zilch. nada.
okay, baru satu. lek luh. i'm a statistician, i don't believe in just one sample of data.
second bridge. none.
third overbridge exit. nada.
sampai fourth kot, can't remember. but still no such thing, the 3 cameras hanging overhead.
until i was at the Bangi exit, and i looked at the bridge over, and THE HORROR!!!
THOSE 3 LITTLE CAMERAS ARE THERE HOLY SHIZNIT! EXACTLY LIKE IN THAT PHOTO THEY POSTED!
except it's on the other side, catching drivers towards KL. a good spot, because it's right after the stretch where the 110km/h just ended going into the 90km/h speed limit stretch.
and a quick check with that list above proves it (or is it the other way round: the cameras prove the list?), that there are cameras at the Bangi exit. cuma dia tak bagitau je which side of the road.
i didn't bother to check other bridges after that. and you shouldn't too. in fact, you shouldn't even be bothered with this list. panjang nak mampus kot, kalau nak hafal. kilometer berapa kilometer berapa. the best way to do is to ALWAYS adhere to the speed limit.
and what this also confirms is that there is no speed camera or trap whatsoever along Maju Expressway. *heaven*
but if you're the paranoid type who thinks that you must have this list in your possession, please, go ahead and copy it. and keep it somewhere, print it and stick it to your windscreen the next time you wanna go travelling.
and please, if you feel like sharing it, by all means. sharing is caring. not to mention dapat pahala amal, no? heh.
above all, drive safely, everyone.
